INFUSION SERVICE WILL COVER 15 COUNTIES.(BUSINESS)

GLENS FALLS -- Glens Falls Hospital and Eddy Home Care have formed Empire Home Infusion Services to provide intravenous treatments to homebound patients in 15 counties.

The hospital has provided home infusion services in six counties since 1987. Through the joint venture, the hospital and the Eddy will share overhead costs over the 15-county region to lower the cost of the service.

Home infusion allows chronically ill and recovering patients to receive intravenous medicine at home and avoid hospital stays or clinic visits.
