Fed : New fumigation systems to protect grain exports
BRISBANE, Feb 21 AAP - A new fumigation method should help protect Australia's reputation
as a supplier of clean insect-free grain to world markets, researchers said today.
The Queensland Department of Primary Industries (DPI) found the $5 billion grain export
industry could have been in peril with the Australian psocid, or booklice, developing
insect resistant qualities.
Dr Manoj Nayak, an entomologist with the DPI's Agency for Food and Fibre Sciences,
